The Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have over 1200 families and businesses in our service area and depend on your annual dues/donation of $25.00 per year to be able to serve you if you have a fire. Less than half of these donate to the fire department. The donation is tax deductible. The support of every family and business in our community is very important. If you have a fire and are not a paid up member of the fire department you will be billed a fee of $250.00 for the fire call.
The Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department currently has 17 active firefighters. Equipment includes two fire-engines. One is a 1990 Ford E-One that pumps 1,000 gallons per minute and carries 1,000 gallons. The second engine is a 1971 GMC that pumps 500 gallons per minute and carries 1,250 gallons of water.

The Volunteer Fire Department depends upon your contributions, which are tax deductible, for operating expenses.

  • The plans are being made to build a new fire house in the very near future. 

  • There is a fire training meeting held the first and third Monday nights at 7:30 PM. If anyone is interested, please feel free to attend or call Scott Davis, Fire Chief at 706-582-3398. We are in need of more firemen.

  • Everyone is welcome to attend our GENERAL MEETING held once per year, which will be held on October 21, 2003 at 8 PM. Please come.
